Bringing Sales Navigator Context into a Salesforce Sales Workflow

A US-based client used LinkedIn Sales Navigator primarily for prospecting and wanted its sales team to access relevant insights within Salesforce. The goal was to make prospecting context easier to use in the existing CRM workflow.

The Operational Challenge

We supported the integration and configuration of Sales Navigator with the client's Salesforce organization. The source describes configuration and coding within Salesforce, restricting access to selected user profiles, enabling Apex class access, adding page components, and applying advanced configurations, writebacks, and data validations.

Implementation & Workflow

The integration required both platform configuration and attention to permissions. Making an integration available to the right users is part of the implementation, especially where not every Salesforce profile should have the same access.

The source describes a smoother flow of information between the platforms and improved prospecting productivity, but provides no measured revenue or conversion outcome. Those are therefore not claimed here.

Key Takeaways & Evaluation

If your sales team switches between Salesforce and prospecting tools to gather context, assess which information should be visible in the CRM and which users need access before choosing an integration approach.
